Onam celebrations 2015 of the Share & Care Charitable Society was held in the St. Joseph’s Home, the Palliative Care Centre for Cancer patients, located near Kottayam Medical College Hospital on 28th August 2015. The Onam celebrations were held in the above institution to get participated in the different events, by the Cancer patients getting palliative care there and also the other inmates of the St. Joseph’s Home. All the members of the Share & Care Society with their family members assembled in the above location at 9:00 AM on 28th August. In every respect the Celebrations were eventful and colourful. Various competitions were conducted for children, as well as the grown-ups and prizes distributed to the winners. A public meeting was organized under the chairmanship of President of the Society, Shaji Kannalayil. Rev. Fr. Alex Aakkaparambil, the Procurator of Archdiocese of Kottayam, inaugurated the function. Rev. Sr. Mercin SJC, the Directress of the St. Joseph’s Home as well as other distinguished guests conveyed their greetings and best wishes to all on the occasion. They all applauded the exemplary altruistic activities of the Share & Care Charitable Society Kaipuzha. On this occasion, an Onam Gift (Oxygenator) was also presented to Sr. Mercin SJC by the President of the Society for Cancer patients. Sr. Mercin conveyed her sincere thanks for this kind gesture on the part of the Society, in the Public Meeting. Thereafter, all assembled on the occasion took part in the grand Onam Feast organized by the Society. Simultaneously a “Mimics Parade” was conducted for entertainment for the inmates/patients of the Institute, children and grown-ups alike, assembled there. By 3:30 PM the celebrations were concluded. The Share & Care Charitable Society is fully confident that organizing such functions in this way will, of course, promote fraternity among all.
