The Second Annual Day Celebrations of the Share and Care Charitable Society were held on 17th May 2015 in the Sehiyon Cultural Centre of St.George’s Forane Church Kaipuzha. After conduct of the Annual General Body meeting at 5pm, variety entertainment programme of children was arranged. Thereafter, a public meeting was organized under the chairmanship of Share and Care Society’s President Shri Shaji Kannalayil. After the opening prayer, the Programme Co-Ordinator Shri Boss Idukkuthara welcomed the distinguished guests, the members, Associated Members and their family members to the meeting. Rev. Fr. Thomas Pralel, Vicar of Kaipuzha St. George Forane Church inaugurated the Annual day Celebrations. While speaking on the services rendered by the Share & Care Society for the welfare of the suffering people he applauded the President of the Society, and also its members. The Secretary of the Society Shri Thomas Jacob Kudilil presented in the meeting the Annual Report in which he highlighted the major services of compassion towards the suffering and needy people, rendered by the Society during 2014 -2015. The Chief Guest Shri P U Thomas (Managing Trustee, Navajeevan) addressed the audience appreciating the activities of the Share & Care Society. The “ Thakkol –Daanam” of the newly constructed house by Share & Care Society for Gopalan Vaidyar Vanchiyil, Kaipuzha was carred out by the Chief Guest. He handed over the Key of the new house to wife of Shri Gopalan Vaidyar. Besides the above, Smt. Chechamma Lukose, Madappllikunnel, Kurumulloor, was handed over a cheque on behalf of Share & Care Society for the completion and maintenance work of her dilapidated house. The Chief Orator in the Annual day Celebrations Prof. Mathew Pral ( Retd. Prof. St. Stephen’s College, Uzhavoor) invited attention of all to the need of practicing the teachings of Jesus Christ particularly when the poor and suffering people around us need our compassion and healing touch instead of spending huge amount of money for various celebrations. Rev. Dr. Luke Puthrukayil addressed the gathering conveying his greetings and best wishes. On behalf of the Society, a Wheel -Chair was presented to a disabled boy, Sreekuttan Ellickal, educational assistance of Rs. 10,000/- was given to Miss Jincy Philp Padavettumkalayil, and the Kapuchin Brothers were handed over financial assistance for the children of AIDS effected parents. Then prizes were distributed to the children who participated in the variety entertainment programme. The thanks giving speech was delivered by Shri. Sunny Vettikatte, Chairman, Advisory Committee. Thereafter a grand musical concert of Maria Sadanam Palai was organized, followed by all members of Share & Care Family present took part in the feast arranged by the Society.
